This coming May 2, 2015 will be remembered as a historic date as boxing superstars Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will face off with the titles Unified WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and The Ring welterweight on the line. The fight was without problems as the earlier negotiations for a mega fight between the two frequently broke down. It was not until December 12, 2014 when Floyd Mayweather proposed a May 2, 2015 fight to Manny Pacquiao which he accepted the terms on January 13, 2015.
At the age of 14, Manny Pacquiao had a record of 60-4 on his amateur career and during 1995 started his professional career. His first professional bout was on January 2, 1995 which resulted in his first win. His first loss came when he was knocked out on the third round of his 12th bout. Some notable opponents he has faced during his career were Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley and Timothy Bradley. His record currently stands at 57 wins with 38 knockouts, 5 losses and 2 draws.
Manny Pacquiao’s diet, which maintains a welterweight diet, includes raw oatmeal, nonfat milk, fresh berries and honey . Beef tapa with steamed white rice, tinolang manok, and a plate of melon and mango are also one of his favorite diets. Manny’s motivation on his training includes a fight for domestic violence where Floyd Mayweather has a history with it.
